Official description
Designed for those who treat life as the ultimate adventure, the Seiko Prospex line meets every challenge with technological excellence and style. Part of a rich legacy of innovation in high-intensity timekeeping, Prospex continues to celebrate a long history of sports watch excellence with recreations and reinterpretations of landmark achievements. From the dramatic Black Series, this distinctive Limited Edition, available only a controlled production run of 1,000, reimagines Seiko's famed 1970 diver's watch, complete with the iconic case design that revolutionized underwater safety with a recessed crown creating a built-in crown guard at 4 o'clock. This masterfully updated design is crafted of stainless steel with black hard coating, and includes a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, black uni-directional rotating elapsed timing bezel, and screwdown crown and caseback, as well as an additional black silicone strap. With red/orange accents to evoke the early dawn light on the ocean, the textured black dial features a date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers. Following ISO standards for scuba diving to depths of up to 200 meters, this exceptional watch is powered by the 26-jewel 8L35 automatic mechanical movement, hand-assembled at the Shizukuishi watch studio to provide the enhanced torque necessary for a diver's watch, along with manual winding capability, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. Packaged in a Limited Edition collectors' box. 200m Water Resistant.
